Serveries & Receptions

In modern times churches have increasingly become the focus for social and community life and they also attract visitors interested in their architecture and history, necessitating the provision of more sophisticated catering facilities than has hitherto been the case.

Whether such provision has been required within the ancient fabric of heritage buildings or in brand new visitor facilities, Treske have provided practical, durable and beautiful solutions in finely crafted hardwoods.

St Hilda’s, Hartlepool
A new servery was made, fitted and supplied with appliances by Treske, using their extensive expertise in making bespoke kitchens. This welcoming communal meeting and refectory area is completed by specially designed tables and chairs in oak with detailing in wenge.

Fountains Abbey
The Visitor Centre at the World Heritage site of Fountains Abbey was opened in 1992; its restaurant was furnished by Treske with 78 tables and accompanying chairs. With over 300,000 visitors a year, Treske have recently re-surfaced the tables for the National Trust.

Newby Hall
Designed, made and installed by Treske in the entrance pavilion, this ash reception desk has part glazing, display shelves and cupboards. It is the first point of contact for 200,000 visitors a year to the 18th century house. Detailing was inspired by Newby Hall's Robert Adam interiors.
