The chapel in the apsidal east end of the crypt of St Paul’s Cathedral is dedicated to the Order of the British Empire. Over 400 chairs in lightly fumed and limed oak with leather seat covers were supplied by Treske for the chapel.
Today, holders of the OBE may choose to be married and have members of their families baptised in the chapel. Memorials to Wren, Blake and Reynolds are close by, while at the heart of the crypt lie the massive tombs of the Duke of Wellington and Lord Nelson and the memorial to Florence Nightingale.
Treske bespoke church chairs can be upholstered in a wide range of fabrics and leathers or rush seated, and heights and woods can also be specified.
